Welcome to my website, and thank you for your interest in transforming LAUSD. I am proud to serve as the School Board Member for District 4 and seek your support as I stand for re-election. We are building a grassroots campaign around the vision for the inclusive change we have built in LAUSD's Board District 4. I am running for re-election because I am compelled to finish the work we have started with families, teachers, community activists, and school leaders throughout our district. So far, our work together has produced remarkable results, even in the midst of the worst budget crisis in public education history. We have seen the change we can produce by working together.

I’m running because there is still much to do to improve our schools. I came to the school board with 17 years of experience as a teacher and counselor, with the support of labor, teachers, and school reformers. I’m a community organizer with deep roots who has helped create alternatives for at-risk youth and resources for our community, students, and families. Together, I know we can create safe schools for all our children, public education options for all our families, and improved achievement in all our classrooms.
